**The Static Bloom**

Dust motes dance in sunbeams still,
Each a tiny, fervent will.
And I, observer, sit and trace
Their restless beauty through empty space.

No purpose guides their chaotic flight,
Just gravity and refracted light.
Yet in their random, airy grace,
A certain elegance I embrace.

This room, this moment, held apart,
A sanctuary for a fractured heart.
The ticking clock, a measured beat,
Against the quiet, incomplete. 

The world outside demands to *mean*,
To label, box, to intervene.
But here, within this yellow square,
Existence breathes a weightless prayer.

For just to *be* – to drift and sway –
Is sometimes enough to start the day.
A static bloom, a silent sigh,
Reflected in my own dull eye. 

And if no pattern should emerge,
If every striving feels a purge…
Then I will watch them wander on,
Tiny suns until the day is gone.
